Bredin Prat advises IN Groupe as it enters into exclusive negotiations with Idemia for the acquisition of Idemia Smart Identity

Bredin Prat is advising IN Groupe, a global provider of digital identity solutions, as it enters into exclusive negotiations with Idemia for the acquisition of one of its three entities, Idemia Smart Identity, a leading French player in the secure physical and digital identity solutions market.

Completion of the transaction is expected to take place in 2025, subject to obtaining the customary prior approvals from regulatory authorities and consultation of the employee representative bodies.

The contemplated transaction would give IN Groupe enhanced access to critical segments of the physical and digital identity value chain, including chip design and advanced software, which are key components in delivering secure identity solutions, and would enable it to continue to expand its geographical footprint.
