Like many law firms and professional advisory firms, as well as companies, our firm can fall victim to email impersonation, also known as “spoofing”. The scammers employ a variety of tactics. For example, fraudsters may use an e-mail address very similar to that of a member of our firm so that the email appears to be from that person, or they may send an email with our firm’s name and branding. Please note that our firm’s email addresses all end in ‘@bredinprat.com’.
We therefore strongly urge you to be extremely vigilant, and in particular to check the email addresses of the senders of emails you receive, as well as to look for any signs that might make you question the authenticity of the email (spelling mistakes, sender is unknown to you, you do not recognise the subject title, etc.).
If you have any doubts about the identity of a sender or the authenticity of any correspondence presented as being from Bredin Prat, please kindly inform us by emailing us at the following address: alerte-ssi@bredinprat.com or by telephoning one of your usual contacts at the firm, and most importantly, do not use an email address or telephone number mentioned in the suspicious email.
