Bredin Prat advises industrial valve manufacturer Velan on the proposed sale of its subsidiaries Segault and Velan France to Framatome

Bredin Prat is advising industrial valve manufacturer Velan Inc., a Canadian company listed on the Toronto stock exchange (TSX : VLN) (“Velan”), in connection with the proposed sale by Velan Valves Limited, a Velan subsidiary, of 100% of the share capital and voting rights of its French subsidiaries, Segault and Velan France, to Framatome SAS, a world leader in the field of nuclear energy.

The proposed transaction is subject to employee consultation procedures at Segault, Velan France and Framatome.

Completion of the transaction would be subject to the approval of Velan’s shareholders.
