Bredin Prat appoints new Corporate / M&A Partner

Bredin Prat is pleased to announce the appointment of Karine Angel as partner in the Corporate team.

Karine Angel advises listed and unlisted companies, as well as investment funds, on their M&A transactions, notably in the context of public offers. She advises clients in connection with large and high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions.

She has also developed specific expertise in corporate governance, advising numerous listed companies on their corporate governance issues and assisting them in the preparation of their general meetings.

For example, Karine has recently worked on the following transactions:

• Advising the consortium comprising Permira and Clayton Dubilier & Rice on the public tender offer for the shares of Exclusive Networks;
• Advising General Atlantic in connection with the public tender offer for Esker’s shares;
• Advising the TCV-EQT-Denis Ladegaillerie consortium in connection with the public tender offer for Believe’s shares;
• Advising Concordia in connection with the public tender offer for Rothschild & Co’s shares;
• Advising RATP Group and SNCF Group in connection with the acquisition by Latour Capital of a stake in Systra.

Karine is a lecturer on securities law and public tender offers at the University of Paris Dauphine.

She has been recognised in IFLR1000 M&A lawyer rankings for many years.

Karine was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2000 and is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure of Cachan (Agrégation d’économie et gestion, 1996) and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne (DEA in business law and economics, 1997).
