“This article provides an initial overview of the work being done by the Environment Commission of Club des Juristes, whose next report will focus on greening infrastructure. The Commission firstly notes a paradox: while infrastructure development is essential to ecological transition, it faces various difficulties, sometimes in the name of environmental protection.
To overcome these oppositions, we can first question the overall strategy and steering of public policies in terms of greening infrastructure. The question of how to decide on the principle of building an infrastructure can then be addressed, especially from the point of view of its social acceptance. The Commission also examines the adequacy of the various legal instruments (administrative acts, public contracts) and the objectives of the ecological transition. Finally, it is concerned with corporate social responsibility and its possible extension to public actors working in the field of infrastructure.” Read more
