The firm’s Digital Law and Intellectual Property team, comprising one counsel and three associates, regularly advises a wide range of French and international clients from different business sectors on their legal issues relating to innovation and intellectual property.
The team’s expertise notably includes data law, regulations relating to innovative technologies (artificial intelligence, cryptoassets, etc.), IT contracts and cybersecurity. The team also assists clients on protecting and defending their intellectual property rights.
The team advises clients notably in connection with the development of products with a significant technological component, drafting and negotiating contracts, structuring innovative projects and strategic tech partnerships, advising on the regulation and protection of online content, and on M&A transactions with high-stakes technology issues. The team also assists clients on preparing their litigation strategy and handling any contentious matters, whether before the judicial or the administrative authorities.
The team is highly regarded for their deep and up-to-date knowledge of the sector’s fast-evolving regulatory environment, and their good grasp of the technical aspects of the matters.
The team regularly works with the firm’s other teams (e.g., competition, employment, criminal law, corporate) to offer clients fully cross-functional expertise in the emerging technologies sector.
The firm works alongside the best independent law firms in all jurisdictions around the world, thus providing clients with fully integrated international teams. The team is an active member of the Best Friends Data Protection Working Group and the Best Friends IP Working Group which provides a forum for exchange of European data protection and intellectual property news and practices.
